Inn found by chance (thanks to Google)Upon arrival the innkeeper welcomed us with great kindness and kindness, the place is welcoming and with rustic furnishings, in the center of the room there is a wood stove which makes the whole environment very familiar. We opted for two starters:Mix of buffalo cheeses (except pecorino) with honey - good, delicate and well-assorted.Cooled and thinly sliced veal head with parsley sauce - didn't wow me, too chewy for my taste, sauce was delicious. As for the first courses, we opted for three different choices:Pisarei and fasö,:a note of merit for this first typical Piacenza dish, made to perfection! A bit "dachshund" (brodous) without tomato! Since it is a dish dating back to the Middle Ages, a time when tomatoes had not yet been imported into our country, but... with pork rinds! FINALLY! Superb, truly!Hazelnuts with truffle:I would say that my wife liked the raviolotti filled with ricotta, parmesan, hazelnuts, seasoned with butter and truffle! I tried one and it was delicious.Pumpkin gnocchi with truffle:Well my son didn't give me time to taste. I'd say these were delicious too!As second courses we ordered:Small horse:GORGEOUS! Practically a cream, abundant and very hot, I also appreciated the presence of the pork rinds here.Mixed cured meats:After seeing various plates of very inviting-looking cured meats pass by, my son and I decided to choose the course as the second course:What can I say, everything was good, but the bacon... it was divine! I would have preferred the rind to be removed before slicing but, that's fine.At the end of the meal, a delicious slice of cake with amaretti biscuits and jam (classic cupboard dessert). All accompanied by a good gutturnio. Among other things, there is a vast selection of local wines. What can I say, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is what I was looking for!!!An inn where they offer ancient dishes re-proposed in a modern way. I trusted the innkeeper and I received a riot of dishes and aromas that evoked ancient times in mechildhood reminiscences...The freshwater fish soup is remarkable and fascinating (I was very sceptical). The braised and then grilled cheek was wonderful, the tripe, the veggiolini, risorei and fasoo etc etc.All accompanied by the smile and professionalism of the waitress and sensational local wines (a 14% pure merlot remained imprinted on my palate)I really have to compliment you. I've seen few places like this...A big THANK YOU.I'm not talking about the bill because it was ridiculous for what I ate.

Lovely in Veggiola with lovely views of the local countryside. Tiziano and Serena are excellent hosts and the food, which is all cooked on the premises, is amazing. This is not a fast food restaurant. We find a Sunday lunchtime treat to be out favourite time to visit and to soak up the atmosphere. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough

A simple but original place, warm and welcoming like the availability of the owners (family management), the food and the quality of the menu are excellent, especially for those who want to return to the roots of the dishes without giving up innovative experimentation. THE DISPLAY OF THE VARIED, TYPICAL and SPECIAL MENU IS VERY CLEAR, PRESENTED VERBALLY WITH DETAILS ON THE INGREDIENTS AND PREPARATION (homemade as much as possible) and the PRICES are VERY CLEAR.... we pleasantly spent a few hours away from the usual routine of classic restaurants and pizzerias... our palate and spirit rejoice... space also available for outdoor tables... better book... ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE PERSONAL EVALUATION

Don't miss it!!! Lunch with a friend after the visit to the castle, warm and genuine environment and welcome. Delicious, carefully prepared and traditional dishes, in some cases excellently revisited. We ate excellent first and second courses, I underline the goodness of the braised beef cheek with mashed potatoes.Friendly and helpful owners. Go there!!!!

Place known by chance and I can say that I always come back with enthusiasm. Tiziano Montesissa and Serena manage the restaurant. The place is welcoming and private. Tiziano, a creative and brilliant host, experimenter more than a chef, is an unforgettable experience. It is also possible to taste dishes that no one cooks anymore. Let's say that if I want to make a good impression on a guest I take him to the brigands' inn. Highly recommended

From the Certosa di Pavia we decide to drive an hour and a half to reach the brigands' inn. What can I say, it was worth it! Genuine food and welcoming, family-like staff. Pickled tongue, frog soup, cotechino fried in wine and braised ox cheek. We liked everything so much that we also wanted to order a delicious pasta, the name of which I don't remember (I've attached a photo). Concluded with a delicious sbrisolona with zabaglione. Price more than fair! 90 euros for two of which 18 euros of pleasant wine. Two coffees and 4 grappas kindly offered by the innkeeper, together with a cotechino which we happily take home.It made our day. Definitely recommended.
